Complete healing for a filly who had metabolic disorders, frontal bilateral heel pain, hollow back, and overweight issues.

Cassiopea is a cross between Arabian and Bardigiano born in 2005. The problems began in her early years. She had a non-persistent bilateral limping on her front legs, evident flexion in the spine, prominent belly, and was always overweight.
After consulting various veterinarians, who concentrated exclusively on the limbs, (diagnosing the problem as a bilateral heel pain, but not coming up with the main reason for the inflammation…) we went to Dr. S. S. (who then advised us to try Turval 6) who immediately hypothesized it to be (and then confirmed by a thorough blood analysis) a metabolic syndrome.

The horse wasn’t able to properly digest sugars and fats.  This caused a large build-up of fat on the back of the neck and mineral deficiencies that created an overall laxity in the ligaments (causing a hollow back, hyperflexion of the fetlocks in motion which made the foot work improperly and therefore causing the infamous heel pain).
Now the horse’s diet consists of 10kg of hay a day, and a lot of exercise. In the first phases of the treatment, started in December of 2008 (when the horse still suffered from her problems) we used a supplement containing salts and minerals for 15 days straight followed by two months of Turval (which the veterinarian stated would help her metabolism). In February we began to mount the horse and we never stopped. In the spring and the fall we always do a 20 day cycle using the supplement, always upon request of the veterinarian.
The doctor keeps track of the horse and finds her to be 100% healed. Her back is now straight (also thanks to the hard work), the hyperflexion of the fetlocks has vanished, and the fat build-up on her neck is gone; the horse is lively, (even too much!!!) she works daily and shows excellent performance. Not bad for a filly who was crippled during her first two years of life!

Thank you very much
